ORGANISERS

The Hull Real Ale & Cider Festival 2020 is organised by the Festival Committee of the Hull & East Yorkshire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). This year’s festival committee consists of: Mark Bainton, Angela Cawte, Bernie Cawte (Festival Organiser), Pete Fleming, De Hempstock, Jon Royle, Jon Major and Mark Spight.

FESTIVAL STAFF

The festival staff are all unpaid and have given up their time to ensure you enjoy yours. Please be patient at busy times, abuse will not be tolerated. If anyone is found to be abusing staff or other customers you will be asked to leave.

TOMBOLA

The pub and brewery related Tombola has been organized by Ken Smith. Tickets are 25p each. We are grateful to the large number of breweries, licensees, businesses and individuals that have either donated, or sponsored prizes. A full list will be on display at the Tombola Stand.

GLASS RETENTION REQUIRED

For safety reasons we have provided lined poly-carbonate festival glasses, which you have been charged a refundable deposit of £1. You will need to hold on to this ‘glass’ for the duration of your visit. This is a system that is normally operated at a CAMRA festival.
Please take your glass with you as there are no glasses available from the bars. Should you wish to exchange your glass please return it to the glass collection point.

NO ACTUAL GLASS TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE CHURCH

TOILETS

There are no public toilets in the Church, but we have provided some portaloos outside for your use. Please leave them clean and tidy and if there are any problems with the facilities please tell a member of staff.

NO SMOKING

Smoking (includes e-cigarettes) is not allowed within this church building. Please use the designated area outside the SOUTH entrance.

LAST ORDERS

Thursday and Friday
Last orders will be called 10:20pm, time will be called at 10.30pm. We must have the premises clear of customers by 11pm. We would be grateful for your compliance with these times.
Saturday
Last orders will be called at 8.50pm and time will be called at 9pm, earlier if sold out. The Festival closes at 9pm to allow us to return the church to its Sunday morning appearance ahead of the church services.

CHARITY

Please support this year’s festival charity which is the Hull Minster. Cash and unused tokens can be donated in the collection boxes around the church.

CHILDREN

Children are welcomed in the festival for the afternoon sessions, except in bar areas, up to 5.30pm.

REAL ALE BARS

The South & East Bars (Handpumps) will have real ales (up to and including 4.2% ABV ).
The North Bar (Gravity) will have stronger strength real ales (4.3% ABV and above) served directly from the cask. The KEYKEG bar is situated at the East End of the North Bar.

CIDER, PERRY AND BOTTLED BEER BARS

Will be situated in the central Bell Tower.
